| DIS is about to change the way you look at meetings . . . |
With Touchscreen Conferencing™, DIS will literally change the way people look at meetings. This concept adds a visual dimension to conferencing, enabling participants to see as well as hear what other meeting participants are talking about. The concept makes use of DIS’s SW 6000 conference management software, but is built around DIS’s new DC 6990P—the first digital conference unit ever with a built-in color touchscreen. The conference unit allows meeting participants not only to hear what is being said, but also to request and view the meeting agenda, speech times, supporting data, delegate information and messages, as well as to vote on proposed resolutions and see the results onscreen. |

“Touchscreen Conferencing is the fruit of many years of development,” says Finn Halken, DIS’s managing director. “It’s simply a better way to bring people together wherever they meet, whether the venue is a conference center or a parliament. The DC 6990P are competitively priced, allowing broad use in government and institutional settings as well as private industry. Moreover, the unit is multipurpose and intended for use by everyone involved, from meeting participants to conference managers. “Touchscreen Conferencing is democratic in design,” adds Finn Halken. “We think Touchscreen Conferencing has the power to transform the way people experience meetings,” says Halken. “It enables meeting participants to participate more fully, helps conference managers manage more effectively, and gives conference delegates a clear picture of who’s speaking, what’s being discussed and when they’re scheduled to speak. It puts the information different people need right at their fingertips and in the language of their choice.”
