The CU 6005 Central Unit is a powerful microprocessor based control unit designed for the DCS 6000 system. Only one CU 6005 is needed for control of all types of conference units.
The CU 6005 has as standard the following features: - Operation modes: Automatic, FIFO and Manual
- 3 microphone interrupt ability modes
- Up to 8 microphones open at one time
- Auto Off of conference units
- Various interlock functions for interpretation units
- Max. 4 interpreter channels
- Control of max. 50 conference units

By uploading 'Feature Licenses' into the CU 6005 the following additional features will be available: - Control of up to 500 conference units
- Voting (with SW 6000)
- Operation mode VOX (Voice Activation)
- Security enhancement (Encrypted Sound)
- Up to 16 interpretations channels
- A powerful built-in microprocessor with DIS proprietary chips, DSP, flash RAM etc.
CU 6005 technical features: - Fully digital audio transmission of floor plus 31 interpretation channels and 8 conference microphone audiochannels in a single digital bus cable structure
- Backlit alphanumeric LCD Displayfor displaying the actual mode, language and system settings, etc.
- Menu guided set-up of number of speakers, number of requests, operation mode, different languagesand corresponding channels and other system settings.
- More than 70 ISO standard languages can be selected for interpretation. Preferred settings can be saved in the CU 6005 memory.
- Versatile test program available for testing the system performance, the conference units and the interpreter sets.
- Firmware upgrade of the entire DCS 6000 system is possible via a PC
- Electronically balanced, analogue input/output for a variety of external devices
- Long life built-in temperature regulated fan for low-noise operation
- Horizontal orientation of air stream for easy stacking of units in 19"-racks
- External control possible with RS232 or RS422 connections for e.g. PC, room control (like AMX,Crestron etc.)
- DCS-LAN - a proprietary high speed all digital audio channel, data and power bus
- One power supply for the two DCS-LAN chains
- In larger systems EX 6010 Extension Unit, JB 6000 Junction Boxes, RP 6004 Repeater or PS 6000 Power Supply may be included.
The CU 6005 features a slot for inserting modules in the back panel e.g. AO 6004 providing 4 analogue line outputsi.e. floor + 3 languages for IR distributionor sound recording.
In larger systems EX 6010 Extension Unit, JB 6000 Junction Boxes, RP 6004 Repeater or PS 6000 Power Supply may be included |
