DIS Korea Ltd. won the contract to install the DIS all digital DCS 6000 Congress System at the Convention and Exhibition Center (COEX), Seoul. "The competition was tough" reported Mr. Yong Min Chae, President of DIS Korea Ltd., "but finally DIS proved to be the only manufacturer able to supply an all digital interpretation system with the number of language facilities required."
The Korean Government, who hosted the Third Asian-Europe Meeting, ASEM in a brand new congress complex built in Seoul, made the investment. The DIS DCS 6000 Congress System should be ready and installed in time for the ASEM III Summit being held October 2000. |

| The DCS 6000 Digital Congress System installed features up to 32 languages with the floor language and simultaneous translated languages being distributed in digital format to all 1,100 armchairs in the Auditorium. In total 6 DCS 6000 systems are installed and over a hundred IS 6032 Interpreter Sets. In the Hall that accommodated the 26 Ministers Meeting - Heads of Delegation - more than 50 Interpreter Sets were utilised to perform the 17 simultaneous language translation required. |

The reports received after the ASEM III Summit from the interpreters was encouraging: "The sound quality is simply the best I've ever heard!" - "The functionality of the new interpreter unit (IS 6032) is excellent!"
